About Us

About Journey Through Loss

The Journey Though Loss Bereavement Support Group began in 1996 at the request of the Bereavement Services Committee of London, an organization of bereavement professionals from various agencies and interests whose purpose is to provide education to the community and to identify service needs for bereaved individuals.

We exist for the purpose of supporting those who have experienced the death of spouses, parents, friends, siblings and family members. This group is for losses due to death.

We are usually in a position to welcome new members immediately after the intake consultation. Our group meets weekly, every week of the year, with two trained facilitators present.

Most insurance companies do not reimburse for the cost of attending a support group, so we offer Journey Through Loss at no cost to the participant. We do rely on the generosity of people and organizations who are in the financial position to help us continue to provide this service.

For more information or for an intake interview, please call 519.782.5515 or email interview@journeythroughloss.ca.

The Journey Through Loss facilitators thank A. Millard George Funeral Home for the generous donation of meeting space.  We are grateful for the combined efforts of the Lutheran Social Services of London and the Westminster College Foundation for their incredible supports towards the Journey Through Loss Program. Special Thanks to The Miggsie Foundation for their incredible support and generosity.
